Berlin – Intermate, one of the leading social media and influencer agencies in Europe, has announced the acquisition of Advertace, one of Germany’s prominent social performance agencies. The acquisition follows the entry of ECM Equity Capital Management in 2022.

With the acquisition, Intermate responds to the growing demand for measurable and scalable results in social media and influencer marketing. The strategic merger brings significant advantages to clients and sets new standards in the industry.

Ann-Sophie Sell will continue to lead the management of Advertace and the team independently. Johannes Hirsch, the co-founder and previous sole shareholder of Advertace, will step down from all positions.

Intermate, one of the leading social media and influencer agencies in Europe, expands its expertise and announces today the acquisition of the social performance agency Advertace. With the acquisition of the agency specializing in growth strategies, Intermate aims to jointly expand the possibilities in paid advertising. With a combined team of over 200 experts, the company strengthens its position and offers a bespoke solution for the entire user journey in social media marketing.

The Hamburg-based company Advertace, founded by Johannes Hirsch, will enhance Intermate’s expertise with around 40 talents, with the management under Ann-Sophie Sell remaining in place and the team continuing to operate independently.
